C3M, in joint venture with Cupertino Electric, is constructing a new traction power facility at the Walnut Creek Station in Walnut Creek, California. The scope of work includes:

  • Demolition of all existing pavement, concrete curbs, gutters, concrete walls, and fencing,

  • installation of new drains, duct banks, and manholes,

  • new sewer and water connections for the substation,

  • construction of new concrete pads for all traction power substation equipment,

  • furnishing, installation, and testing of major traction power equipment, and,

  • connection of the new substation to BART’s rail transit system and, 

  • demolition of the existing traction power substation.
